When Moonlight Falls

Our challenge for When Moonlight Falls over at PaperWhimsy was a tall order this trip around.

We had to create a collage using When Moonlight Falls poem included in the awesome collage sheets. We also had to include something that evokes moonlight, for this I had strands of silver running through the yarn I used. Also had to use something that suggests music, so I used a music note brad. We had to include a phrase something on our collage and I went with When Moonlight Falls. A pocket was a must and I decided to use the skirts with the blackbirds for a pocket. Labels or tags had to be included with words on them and at least one other PaperWhimsy image from a previous challenge sheet was to be included and of course at least one Paper Whimsy image from a regular collage sheet. And the rest was up to the individual artist...

When Moonlight Falls

-Hilda Conkling

When moonlight falls on the water

It is like fingers touching the chords of a harp

On a misty day.

When moonlight strikes the water

I cannot get it into my poem:

I only hear the tinkle of ripplings of light.

When I see the water's fingers and the moon's rays

Interwined,

I think of all the words I love to hear,

And try to find words white enough

For such shining...

WOW!!! I can't believe I finally had some time today to do some art. This working is for the birds. It has been at least three weeks since I have created anything and when I pulled my stuff out today I wasn't totally sure I would get anything accomplished. Felt so good to get my quote piece done before the next one arrives.
