Postcard Friendship Friday is here again!

I love this postcard! Another wonderful Birthday Thought! The card was printed in England and it is a Rotary Photo, printed on Rajar Bromide Card. She is so beautiful, and love the peacock she is holding. The card is in perfect condition and reads I send this card in Friendship's name, although were far apart, I will serve to show sweet thoughts of You dwell ever in my heart.

Happy PPF everyone and may all the Father's out there have a wonderful Father's Day!

Be sure to check out all the great cards over at Marie's blog, you can find it here

Gosh! I just LOVE it! It's Sheila's birthday today which makes it super duper luper PERFECT! Hooray! Sometimes I wonder about props... I mean it coudn't have been a live peacock that she was holding....right? It would be flapping and pecking away... Or maybe they drugged it? I guess I'm supposed to be the expert and should know! I'll do some research:) Happy Happy PFF!

I love this card! So is the peacock real or fake. A pet or a prop? Oh, that's just how I think... Thanks Debby for sharing such art with us!

This really is beautiful, and I love peacocks, but only to look at I couldn't imagine holding one like that LOL. They can be very friendly though, when we were in England last year there were two at the cottage and they greeted me every morning, they always wait at the door, was so different for us :)

Until I found Marie Reed's blog, I had no idea all of your postcard people were out there...

I've always loved postcards, but never thought of collecting them.

It is a treat to visit your blog and enjoy this beautiful card...I think part of my attraction to old cards is that life seems simpler then - that may not be true, but it seems that way...

Have a great day!

Lovely card....
My great grandmother had peacocks on her property. They were kept as a burglar alarm and deterrent.
They were not friendly and one could not hold them as this young girl is. Peacocks are very territorial and they scream very loudly when someone trespasses. They are also very aggressive and will peck and scratch.
Have a beautiful weekend

A good card for PFF friendship and birthday.

The depth in that card makes me think of those pictures in "Harry Potter" in which the photographic subjects move about in the frame.

Absolutely stunning! I enlarged it to see the peacock and think it's fantastic and fascinating that the bird is there. What I love most about this postcard is the coloring.

The message on the back of the card could have been written on a greeting card today as easily. People were so much more articulate with pen and paper back in the day before emails and text messaging. It is a dying art.
