A Spring Tussie Mussie

I have been working on a spring tussie mussie for a friend that has been feeling a little down lately. I am hoping this will cheer her up a bit when her package arrives. I called on some of our art friends to make tags for her and I will fill the mussie with everyone's tags and some other goodies and send it off.

It is just a gorgeous day here today. Tom even went out and golfed 18 holes with 3 other goofballs. I think it is a little early but if you have the bug I guess you can't help yourself. My SIL has landed in from Cape Breton so we are all going out for a nice dinner tonight, should be fun. She is a lot older than Tom, but she is a sweetie and always lots of fun to be around.

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday. I am off to a workshop for my work tomorrow, should be interesting. I do not work in the winter, but it is almost time to head back. I have worked a few days the past couple of weeks but should be back full time by the middle of April. We have new owners so they have decided to hold a workshop tomorrow to get our imput on what was right and what was wrong with the previous management. LOL...I have heard so many people complaining and saying they are not going, just a waste of time. I guess some people are never happy, the same people were complaining about the previous owners because they never listened, now you have someone that is taking a bit of interest in what you may have to offer and they are still complaining. Seems as though people love misery! I do not understand how one can ever be happy if your attitude is negative everyday, couldn't they just try the positive side once. They have a job, that is much more than lots of other people out there.

What a beautiful tussy mussy. I've never made one, so this one has given me inspiration to try them. I thought "May Day basket" when I saw yours. How thoughtful of you to make this for your friend.

I agree that people should have a positive attitude. That is the only way good things will transpire in their lives. Live positively and positive things will happen to you. Live negatively, and no one will want to be around you.

Great positive post!

You are so sweet to make something so pretty for your friend, I hope she feels better soon :)

You are right too, some people are just never happy, I try not to be around people like that, they have such negative energy UUkk

Oh, Debby - your Spring Tussie Mussie is so beautiful. I love it and so wonderful that you are cheering up a friend. I was chuckling with your comments about some co-workers. So true, some people you can never make happy rather you listen to them or not. I have done exit interviews with employees leaving our employ - and I listen to their woes and congrat them on a new job..... Six months later they are asking if we have any openings and I explain that nothing has changed and the things they were not happy with before - they will not be happy with now - they try to convince me oh yes they will. Guess the grass is not always greener on the other side. Good luck on your workshop! *wink*! You go girl. hugs,

what an adorable chubby little tussy!

I'm around the same kind of everything-is-a-drag people once in a while. They're energy suckers.

The tussie mussie is so sweet. Who could not get cheered up by that?

And I hear you on the no-pleasing-some-people co-workers. At my office we had a dismal office culture before I arrived. There was a big changeover in management and the CEO set out to improve morale, among other things. I've been serving on the committee called Walk the Talk, where we took everyone's survey complaints and suggestions and created a workplace acceptable behaviour template to match our Mission and Values Statement (which I also worked on.) The change in our office culture has been immense. In a good way.

Hi Debby,
I have just learned that your heart is huge. That is so kind to do that for someone you love. When we put others before ourselves and serve them, is when life reaps rewards all around.
Yes...people tend to see the negative at times and have an attitude that should be slammed in a closet. However, people like you and me, can spread the light and create a happy spot, no matter where we go or who we encounter because JOY motivates us.
Blessings to you and yours from your girl with the curl.
