The Caravan Journey Continues....

Parcel 4 theme over at the Caravan Journey was Letting Loose with Color. I had fun playing with this theme and I would say I let loose. Yeah me, even added the words. LOL...

I would also like to thank my sweet friend Marlynn, for this precious blog award. Marlynn is a real sweetie and her blog is full of fun, art and everyday musings. Be sure to visit her over at the Breeze!

I know you will enjoy!

Also thanks to Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover for featuring my blog today! She has really made my day! Thanks so much Elizabeth. You can visit Elizabeth here:

I am in a BLAH kind of mood~ Four days of rain can do that! WAter, mud, dogs coming and going, clean, clean, clean. BLECK!!! Now that hubby has retired we are having the big debate, is it time to sell the house and downsize? Our house is way to large for the two of us, kids are gone, not coming back and we really do not need all the space we have. Can we move from the country and be happy? What about the doggies, they love the country. Big decisions, for me anyway. I wish I was more like Tom, he is so darned easy going and he claims I push the panic button and that just starts all kinds of things whirling around in my head...lol... I am sure we will make the right decision and I should just sit back and enjoy our life as it is and wait to see what may lie around the bend. That's it, lay off the panic button.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Thank you for your wonderful words about me, Debbie..... You know how much I love ALL of your creations and this color one is really fun! Yup, have to agree with your hubby - lay off the panic button. Things will be what they are going to be (I so hate that saying but it just kind of rolled off the keyboard before I could stop it. Fingers are on their own! LOL. : ) Blog word today is "hoonnja" - hmmmm. HOONN JA - sounds good and has a ring to it. Maybe it is a new tea. OK the universe is talking to you... Go have a cup of tea and cookies....

Debby, relax and take a deep breath! Just think of it as an opportunity to get just what you want! (maybe easier said than done, but it sounds good)
Your color collage is adorable. And congrats on your award. Enjoy the rest of the day, now!

Thank you for such a lovely comment about me featuring your blog today. Art friends truly help get rid of the blah mood. And Marlynn is such a sweetie. I'm so glad I "met" her, too.

As for moving, I guess I would have to ask would you have an art studio wherever you land? That would be the most important question for me. Of course, I'm all about the art and the space to create it in.

you sound like me.. I do all the worrying for everyone in my family. My husband never worries about anything. Cant you downsize and stay in the country? We live in a small house in the country. I'd like a larger house! lol! we always want what we dont have. Have a great week!

Lay off the panic button--I love it--I wish I could do it. I don't think I would be content if I wasn't worrying all the time. And I LOVE your Let loose with color--love it!!

Great use of color, love the layering too. I really should let loose some time and use some color, I always love seeing it in other peoples art :)

I hear you about the rain, been dragging myself around for a few days too, no ambition to do much. I am sure you will make the right decision on the house end, it's never an easy one.

Where on earth do you get 6 count egg cartons? I have searched the local stores and no luck. Do you have a source??? I love the idea and would enjoy creating gifts using an altered egg carton. I love yours a lot!!!!!
I am open for an exchange of 6 egg cartons for a crazy quilt pouch?????
Just sayin' :-)

Needless to say I just love your art piece, it's so colourful. And I just had to read your blogpost to John as it reflects so exactly the situation here in Scotland. A very easy-going husband and a very highly strung and stressed out wife. And we too live in a large house in the country and have had this discussion several times. But we have chosen to stay here till the moment comes (hopefully many years away) that we can no longer cope physically with all that there is to do here and we (that's me, in fact!) won't worry about things till then!

A turning point perhaps? I would dearly love to live in the country, but I am perfectly happy in my lovely old house in town too. The best to you in your decision. I know it will be what you dream of.

I'll have to let you know the next time I'm in the area :) Congrats on the blog award and good luck with your decision on if and where to move. When it's our time to decide I think I'll do something crazy and spontaneous..LOL! Hey, life is short!

we had tons of rain this weekend too. yuck! still i like to think it cleans the air. sad to think of moving...i have to say after seeing my neighbour and mil...that getting old is better with people around and shops etc in close vicinity. my neighbour couldn't get out much and my mil has almost lost her sight from diabetes. my neighbour sat watching tv and drinking the last years of her life...my mil is out & about in NYC every day thanks to the senior citizens bus. it's made such a difference to her life where she would've otherwise been house bound. i personally would live in one of those retirement villages with all the mod cons pool, gym, club etc if possible.

love your collage...it's so colourful, i haven't been doing much 'art' but hopefully soon...gosh i'm starting to repeat myself lol.

It sounds like you have quite the decision to make, but if you don't have to decide NOW then why worry about it!

I like the let loose with color theme! Congrats on your award and have a terrific Tuesday. I hope you get some sunshine!
