I have spent the last few weeks decking the halls, geesh seems as though I could go on and on, thought I would share just a few with you. My husband thinks I have gone mad by the time the middle of December rolls around, but that is just the way it goes at my house. I love going through all the old and new decorations every year and remembering where they have all come from. It certainly is a special time of year. I have this huge walk in closest filled to the brim with everything Christmas and I couldn't possibly put it all out, so I change it up every year and rotate the boxes so the following year it is all new to us again. My daughter so wants to come over and go through the decorations and start taking some home with her but I just haven't been able to bring myself to that point yet. One of these days we may get there, but not ready yet.
Here is my one staple that is a must every year, my old~fashioned red and green tree.

You have a ton of really cute things! I love the way you display your art exchange ornaments. Very clever. What is it about trying to photograph a tree? Like you, I can never seem to get a good picture.
Excellent, everything looks so beautiful. A woman after my own heart. It's funny that you mention your daughter because mine has given me back all the ornaments I have bought her over the years. She does a mini tree and that is it! I guess our Christmases have just been to overwhelming over the years and my kids don't want to follow in my fashion! It's kind of sad. Maybe someday I will have a grandchild who will want it all.
Beautiful photos....your home is truly a warm and welcoming place. And I love the black tree!
Happy Holidays my friend. May you make some new memories and have a blessed 2010.
I've never seen a black tree! - I love the idea of it! Yours is remarkably festive. I'm sure if I had a black tree, I'd deck it out in hot pink and lime green!
Oh Debby!
I soooo need that black tree! I'd love to decorate for the football season and I would need a black tree for the Saints! Could you imagine how pretty it would be with gold and white fleur de lis? Where did you get yours?
Oh and by the way, while I'm being so greedy, I want Max too! He's toooo cute tucked in that basket!!! Am I asking for too much? Okay then...I really love your ornaments too but I won't fight your daughter over them ;)

Debbie, your decorations are delightful! Gorgeous trees and those craft ornaments are so lovely to look at!
WoW a black tree! Never saw one or even heard of one, very unique. I understand too how hard it is to part with all these wonderful Christmas treasures from our past! It all looks wonderful. Merry Christmas ~ Judi
Love your decorated trees. Is Max a Maltese? I have one of those! Love your music!
Your tree is gorgeous! I love all the ornaments from exchanges too. I think you have done a lot of exchanges! Your black tree is stunning. I like how everything pops.
It would be fun to decorate for Halloween too. Have you ever done that? Thanks for sharing your pictures, it was fun!
What a great post, love your trees and decorations! And that cute little Max;o)Happy holidays for you and your family to!
OH, girlfriend, you are putting me and my bah humbug to shame. Because of your post at my Honeysuckles I may pull out the decorations from under the stairs on Friday - the day I'm off..... OH, girlfriend..... LOVE your black Christmas tree! Merry merry Christmas.
I started with your cute decorations, read about your new dog, and followed you link to LVS online classes. Now I'm thinking about taking a class there.
