The Butterfly Effect

I am so happy to be a part of this beautiful and special project. A dear friend read about The Butterfly Project and couldn't resist being a part of it. You can either click on the Butterfly Effect link on my sidebar or visit Trudi's blog here http://twodressesstudio.blogspot.com/

Once Trudi read about the Butterfly Project mandate to remember the 1,500,000 innocent children who perished as a result of the Holocaust and collect 1.5 million handmade butterflies she entered into this project  and has sent a call out to all of her artist friends and anyone that reads about this to send their butterfly creations to her and she will ship them all off to the Holocaust Museum for a breath-taking exhibition in Spring 2013.

Please feel free to join all of us in this beautiful project and visit Trudi's blog for all the information.

Your contribution is stunning. How beautiful. I too, plan to join this, but I have a few things to get out of the way before I can send mine. Thankfully, I still have a bit of time before Trudy sends them all in! Love your contribution.

That's an amazing and beautiful thing to do. When I was in Europe I saw a cemetery in Prague that was part of this era and it really had a profound effect on me.

We had such a harsh winter last year but the butterfly population this summer was just amazing in my gardens. They would light on my hands. Have a wonderful and happy week. ~ Lynn @thevintagenest

Debby! Your butterfly I have to say is so much better in person - the background color is much more brilliant in person. Maybe it's because of the coral red background it's on?
Anyway - thanks again so much for participating and for posting about it here! Every little butterfly counts - I stopped to think just how many 1.5 million is - it brought tears to my eyes.

Happy Weekend!
