Something Old, Something New Swap Has Arrived

What a fun and beautiful swap this was hosted by Linda at http://aswapforallseasons.blogspot.com/
her swaps are always so fabulous. Come and play with us next time around. I think she is taking a break until August or September, you can read about it on her blog.

Anyhoo, on with the show. I had a sweet partner by the name of Becky http://www.sistermarybeckyi.blogspot.com/ and she has totally spoiled me with lots of my favorite things.

The beautiful package

in the box

Something Old
so many beautiful things

Isn''t this bag fun that she had the old stuff in

Something new!

Love the necklace Becky made for me, love it.
Can you believe that I set the new package aside and didn't find it again until the next day, after I had sent my thankyou note off to Becky. As soon as I found it and opened it I could have cried, thinking about how terrible she must have thought I was for not mentioning this beautiful treasure. I fired off an email immediately to let her know that I had misplaced my NEW package. As bad as I felt it was kind of fun finding this one last treasure to open the next day.

Something borrowed
I had told Becky that I love red/white so she sent me a beautiful apron, tablecloth and lace. So pretty.

you can see a bit of the tablecloth in the right corner.

Something blue

gorgeous package

and so many pretty blues

And a wedding photo too

the wedding photos were wrapped in this pretty paper with the pattern on top. Love old patterns for wrapping paper.

Thank you so much Becky I love everything and so glad to have met  you.

I know that Becky's parcel has arrived so I will share the package I sent to her also.

The package getting ready to go

Something old
I took a couple of the old tin jello moulds and put in some pretty old buttons and wrapped with this old hankie.

Something new

Found this beautiful tin container while I was out shopping one day and for some reason decided to pick it up for the something new.

Something borrowed
An apron, funny that we both sent aprons, and a pretty old pin

Something blue, found this sweet blue bird's nest filled with blue truffle eggs at one of our local touritst shops and decided it was perfect for something blue. Probably yummy too.

And a wedding photo too.

I done a wedding photo collage on a old book for Becky

My honeysuckle is going mad, it is crawling all over my gazebo and is going crazy with color. So beautiful! I have been trying to catch a pic of the humming birds, but they are so darned fast, haven't accomplished it yet, but I will get them one of these days..LOL...

Stay tuned my journal arrived today from the Summertime Journal Swap and it is so amazing! Will get the photos taken and post in a couple of days.

Happy Friday!

Debby, what fantastic gifts both ways! You always make me drool!

My grandma used to have honeysuckle, and I forgot all about it till I saw your photos, and I remember that sweet smell!
