I have seen so many beautiful Marie pieces, I decided to give it a go. I am so used to working with vintage children it is hard for me to change my ways. I made my Marie piece on a 5x7 canvas and decided to attach it to an old book cover that I have had laying around here for ages. I am going to fill the pages inside with Marie work.
Debby, I love it.
ReplyDeleteThe word beautiful fits, this art work !
You need to keep creating Marie, it is working for you.
Thanks for shairng.
Hugs, Laura.
The title 'Playing with Marie' made me smile... because I'm a Marie too! It used to be such a common name in France but now it has become quite unusual! Parents prefer giving their children very anglo name here in France. I've met so many baby Jennifers lately.
ReplyDeletethat looks SO pretty!!! you are off to a wonderful start:)
ReplyDeleteI love the cover. You can't go wrong with Marie. tee-hee
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the artwork you create for the inside.
xoxo, Joanna
It's great to have a new place to admire all your recent art, Debby. So lovely and you seem to have caught the Marie bug too! Sorry to post without my name but I'm in the public library to speed things up!
ReplyDeleteCheers from Frieda!
Beautiful, vintage, soft, sweet as can be. I will look forward to seeing the pages you add.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a kind comment! I love your artwork and I, too use those old book covers...both inside and out for lots of projects....in fact in the last picture of my post on lilacs....that is the inside of an old children's book! It seems we appreciate the same things.....I will be back to see some of the inside of your book!
ReplyDeleteBe well, Laura
I think if Marie were alive today, she'd be tickled to death! Great idea, and I look forward to seeing the results when you finish.
